In Cuyahoga County, the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed Executive Arnold Budish to announce that the county treasurer’s office is suspending further foreclosure action and delinquent contracts throughout the county. This will take effect immediately and will last for at least 60 days.
If a foreclosure has occupancy, no action will take action until after the 60 days. But, unoccupied properties or rentals and in-process foreclosures in Cuyahoga County will continue.
During the news release on Thursday, Executive Arnold Budish stated,
“We want to do whatever we can to help people during this difficult time. Rest assured that as the situation evolves, we will continue to look at other appropriate measures.”
