Home Sales in Ohio Slow in July

The recent increase in mortgage rates is believed to have led to a slow down in home sales.   Ohio saw a 10% drop in sales compared to July 2021. Still a good number, over 14,000 homes were sold in July 2022 in Ohio.   Most markets in Ohio still saw an increase in home value prices compared to a year ago.  The average price paid for a home, in July 2022, was  $273,954.  some good news for buyers and sellers, mortgage rates are starting to plateau after seeing a fast increase over the last two months.
